Before we accommodate illegal aliens, we need to accommodate American citizens. That means stopping illegal immigration as best we can FIRST. We know how to do it: take away the carrot, firmly, strongly, decisively. Then plug the border. Only THEN should we talk about letting in more people. The whole immigration problem needs a moratorium, then a careful review. The last thing we should do is legitimize a problem because we convince ourselves nothing can be done. That is a surefire recipe for social disaster.
