its a high point with 16.5 inch barrel . do i use a 9mm pistol bore snake? will it fit? or should i use a .357 rifle bore snake?

thanks guys

For a cabine, definately get the rifle length. I use the rifle length .35 cal snake on my .38 revolvers and 9mm pistol too, only difference is a longer cord and more surface area (cleans even faster).

Or get a real cleaning rod.
So you can use bronze bore brushes on the chamber, and copper solvent when it needs the metal fouling removed.

The 357 snake works perfect for the cabine, I only use it in the field. for a good cleaning I would also get an actual gun cleaning kit. Just steer away from the cheap wal-mart ones. That's just my 2 cents.

so i went to gander mtn today and asked to open up the 9mm pistol bore snake package the guy was nice enough to say yes, and it seems long enough

The 9mm pistol boresnake is long enough for the hi-point carbine. It is what I use in mine. The only difference is that when you feed it through the barrel you have less extra material hanging out of the muzzle to grab onto and pull.
