one thing about sitting in a blind deer hunting is it gives you time to think. use it wisely! you do not get that kind of time often. there are lots of things yo think about, your carrer, your family, finances, where any of them are going. make plans, set goals, etc.. it can be a long day, just sitting there, not seeing a single deer. i have blasted a few of those stinking tree rats myself. usually, when they are sitting up there chucking thier fool heads off telling every creature in the woods that there is danger near by. when they do that, they have got to go! my favorite one was the first year bow hunting. i had brolen my leg, but i was determined to go. i used a three wheeler to get to and from the woods. probably a good thing i didnt get one, it would have been hard to get it out, as i was there by myself. anyway, one was in an oak tree about 30 yards away, i was sitting in a ground blind. and after roughly an hour without shutting up, i let him have it. hit him right in the lungs. he kind of twitched himself down the whole length of the shaft, and dropped onto the ground. it cost me an arrow and broadhead to shut him up, but it was the most satisfying shot i ever made in my life. i think it still is. i have killed many an animal, including many deer. but not one of them was as satisfying as that da** squirrel!
