I’m looking for a good quality borescope and followed up on a suggestion to look at Hawkeye. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw those prices! 1,000s of bucks! $3,000 was a common price! Incredible!

Is there something that isn’t beaucoup bucks that’s still 1st class quality?

I bought a Teslong borescope from Amazon for <$100. It onnects to a computer via USB. I also bought the separate kit that has mirrors of various diameters which make it a bit easier to use with larger bores. Even though i didn't need it, I also bought a shorter version for use with handguns because is a bit easier to control in shorter barrels. I have used it to verify that the charge holes line up with the bore in my revolvers and plan to use it to check for impending case head separation my in rifle brass.

+1

I purchased one of the Chinese knockoffs from Amazon and have been pleased, it hooks up to my phone and is very detailed. I use it when purchasing a new gun to look in the barrel whe breaking it in and when purchasing a used gun to inspect the barrel. I think mine was around $30

I have been using a Nidage boroscope bought on amazon for less than $100 a couple of years ago. Works great for all the applications you may want for a boroscope. Best wishes!

I bought a Teslong several years ago and I've found that I use it for a lot of other stuff and actually very little for inspecting my guns.

I use a Teslong scope and charge if someone wants me to inspect their barrel with it. I would recommend a wired version, so you don't have to fumble with connection issues between the scope and wherever you are sending it to (phone, tablet etc). The ability to record an inspection of a customer's weapon is quite handy.

I have the a Teslong, Lyman and a Hawkeye. The Hawkeye is the hands down winner for best view, but the others work well.
