I bought a GP100 today, now the next 72 hours are going to be rough. Can't wait to get it home and get to know it. Then I can hit the range and have some fun.

Congratulations! Great revolver. What barrel and sight combination did you get? I've had a 3" and 4" with adjustable sights and both were tough and accurate. I traded the 4", regretted it and found a nice 3", then gave it to a daughter. I'll be looking for another one for me soon.

I've wanted a 6" blued one for quite some time but it keeps getting bumped by others. Will get it soon enough. They're just great looking and great shooting revlvers.

IMHO that will do every thing you need a handgun for.every thing else is a want. good thing I want to shoot lots of other guns:neener:

Congratulations

I bought a ss 4" for my son for Christmas, and a 6" blued with a red dot sight for myself. Great guns.

I picked up a 4" stainless steel model with adjustable sights.

I came very close to picking one up myself yesterday! It was used , not really a steal at $399 but it was in great condition. Thing is , I used to own one back in the late 80s - it was a hec of shooter. Ended up trading it! I no longer even have the gun I traded it for. And I do miss having a GP100 , maybe next time! Let us know how it shoots.

I just bought my second GP-100. I shoot it better than all the others.

When I wanted a new gun, I went around and around before finally settling on a stainless version of my beloved blued model.

Once I find something really good, I like to standardize and stock up.

Congrats! You should love the GP. It's my answer to the usual "if you could only own one gun" question (Shudder!) .
