I had been watching the video reviews and everyone seemed to like it. What a fun little pistol!

First trip to the range, 75 rounds, only one failure to feed. Second range trip, 90 rounds, only one failure to feed. That beats some of my centerfire guns. I'm shooting CCI mini mags, found them cheap online. It's incredible how clean this gun was after each range trip, I was expecting a black dirty mess, and it looked like I only fired a few rounds.

Very excited to shoot it some more, just bought 1000 rounds.

It came new with 2, so I'm good thanks! Any tips or tricks or anything else I should know about this gun?

I'm very happy with how well I can hit with it after I got the sights adjusted. Only thing I would change about it is that the front white dot looks smaller that the rear 2 dots when looking down the sight. I like more when they make the front dot bigger as to make them all seem the same size when aiming.

I bought one for my daughter about a year ago.

It has made about 6 range trips and has had a few FTF's. Usually when shooting bulk Winchester ammo.
CCI ammo runs perfect.

We are at about 600-700 rds, it's still a baby!!

Mine has been remarkably reliable with several different brands of ammo ever since I bought it in 2015. The Ruger and my Daewoo are the two pistols I can say that about. Lots of fun. Love the magazine design. I added a green laser to the pistol and the fun factor went way up. I've put hundreds of rounds through it. Usually takes just a quick wipe down and a boresnake swipe to clean and little lube. Enjoy your new pistol.

Did you get that as for her as a plinker or a CCW? just curious, guy at the store said a lot of people were buying to carry.

I saw online that some people are putting a steel guiderod in them, but I figure Ruger rested plenty with the plastic one and that may work well enough with it.

I have a Ruger MKII, S&W 17-3, Ruger Single Six and a Browning Buckmark and my Ruger SR-22 is the most fun .22 caliber to shoot of all of them. It's also surprisingly accurate!

Bought the old lady a SR-9C for Valentine’s Day a few years ago and she really liked it. Then she decided she wanted a 22 pistol so I got her the SR22 in purple and she really loves it, so does my 7 year old daughter. Great gun and lots of fun.

Sounds awesome.

I still haven’t decided between this, Mk IV, or Victory.

However I would be worried if I had centerfire guns with FTFs like you describe.

My only centerfire gun has fired 650 rounds, I have had zero malfunctions.

I bought a Browning Buck Mark this year. I had been shooting mainly 9mm the last few years until I got the .22 LR. Haven't shot a 9mm since. The .22 is great fun and very accurate.

Regarding my centerfire pistols, I have a Bersa Thunder 380, a Smith & Wesson model 659 and a Beretta model 1934.

The beretta hasn't jammed yet, but I shoot it the least because it bludgeons my trigger finger and bites my hand.

The Bersa has a jam about once every 50 rounds, but it's hard to replicate. The other day I ran 3 full magazines and no problem. Then, on the next magazine I got a double feed.

The S&W 659 is more reliable, but I still got a spent shell jammed at the end of my shooting session of about 100 rounds.

So this SR22 looks pretty reliable to me. I will maybe buy a CZ75 SP-01 in the future and expect that to never jam.

Bought an SR22 4 or 5 years ago and love it. I don’t remember having any malfunctions with it at all. Its really accurate too. My only problem is that my wife seems to have claimed it

I got an SR22 last year. My daughter and I love shooting it. It's been very reliable although after running several hundred rounds through it I got a few light strikes. I hosed out the firing pin channel with non-chlorinated brake cleaner, which should fix that.

Can't believe the OP turned down an extra mag; you can never have enough magazines. Labguy if it's still available....I'm out here.

LOL I thought 2 was plenty! If you have too many magazines you'll burn through your ammo quicker!

I kid you not, when I go shoot and I'm not in a hurry, I load only 5 at a time and take my time with each shot.

I’ve had one for a couple years. Great gun. Only a couple FTF’s when my wife was shooting. Pretty sure she was limp wristing it. I think 2 FTF’s for me with mini mags only over about 750 rounds.

My only problem is my wife has claimed mine too.

I know, right! We all have that box of odds and ends, mags holsters and such. I don't wanna highjack a thread so if this needs its own thread feel free to move it. Wouldn't it be nice if we all got out that stuff and traded it with others for stuff we need or want? And yes I still have it, but armouredwalleye has first dibs.
