Hi,

I tend to carry an LCP in the warmer months and a Shield 40 S&W in the colder months. When I carry the LCP, I primarily use a kydex pocket holster. Its good for what it does, but there are sometimes where I feel that if I need to "be ready" something about the pocket carry would hinder me (weird pockets, high pocket, etc.)

I thought about getting an IWB holster and already have a few for the LCP, but this time it would be an all kydex holster with one belt clip/loop.

Since I really like my Shield setup with hybrid kydex/leather holster, I was also thinking of maybe getting something a little bigger than the LCP but smaller than the Shield. A Glock 42 comes to mind.

I'd like to hear your thoughts/comments on this.

Thanks,

MC

IWB carry in a hybrid holster is my preferred concealed carry method for any gun. I carry an XDs in summer that way whenever carrying, even under a form fitting shirt. A GLOCK 42 would be easy to conceal too.

Have you looked at the Sig P938? I pocket carry it, and it conceals well IWB.
No, I have not looked at the P938 but will start looking. I did run across the P290 and it seems to get good reviews. I wish I could go look at one.

I like my 938.... iwb.... and forget its there.... mostly just wear a t-shirt and shorts in winter....

Question. On the Sig P938, is it like the 1911 where you have it "cocked and locked"? If so, does that take some getting used to in a carry situation? I have a fs 1911 and carried it briefly a few years ago. I carried it hammer down which I know would be useless in a "no time to think" situation.
