I love that moment when you actually buy it! Even on the drive home I want to get it out and look at it. which I don't, but I always want to. I should make the wife drive so I can. ) Congrats, what a great gun. Then you get to make a new space for it in your safe (assuming you have a safe). This is why they have us hooked. You just bought a new gun, and I want to get mine out and look at it. What an expensive freak'n hobby!!

Yea--I bought a new toy yesterday. Bushmaster LR .308 16" HBAR with 10"twist. Can't wait to wring this one out.

gkdir, I just bought me a new Bushmaster 308OCR, it is also called model LR308, that is the old DPMS. mine has the Bushmaster logo with the model No. just to the right, on the receiver it says BFI Windham Me. guess we got a combo rifle, half Bushmaster half DPMS huh? also since Magpul is in on the deal, their SR25 type mags work, they are low price and work great. you will like your rifle. I am an Armalite person, but just had to have this rifle.

if anyone was wondering, since the OP never checked back in (on mine, I replaced the MAGPUL MOE stock with the CTR, Surefire Mini-Scout light) ... Who needs rails?
