Sizing 308 last night. One would think you would notice the difference grabbing a 30-06 case.

What is it with you Minnesota cats?

This one was sent to me from a guy in NE Minnesota. 308 accidentally fired in a 30-06. Hit the boulder in the gravel pit, apparently. :). So I guess accuracy is ok?

Looks like a legit 30-06 case now. Maybe the shoulder is a little short? I’m new to this cowboy-ignore-the-rules reloading trend. Regular 308 on left. Minnesota 30-06 on right.

The .30-06 case behind the shoulder is a bit thicker internally than the .308 case neck. .30-06 necked down to .308 would have to be trimmed for neck length and inside reamed for neck thickness.

Converting .30 -06 brass to .308 brass could be the basis of a new cardiovascular workout video. With the video, sell a custom line of sweat bands and arm warmers.

Oops

There was a guy brought in his .270, bolt wouldn't open.
His B-i-L had an identical rifles in .308.
They were at the rifle range. B-i-L picked up .270, loaded .308 and pulled trigger.

Action held, but pressures were a bit high.
