I have used this stuff before on shotguns after a lot of clays to blast the action and barrels out but can I use it on my polymer handgun. I shot an amateur IDPA match Wednesday and it was muddy and I dropped 2 mags in the water and mud on the clock so my dumb butt grabbed them and seated into the gun and finished. I went to clean the gun and noticed that there was grey muddy type substance on the trigger spring and on the inside of the slide release so I picked all that out and wiped the inside of the frame out with an old cotton t shirt and it was filthy. you would have thought a mechanic wiped his hands on that shirt. this got me thinking about the powder blast break free but I would imagine it might not play will with the polymer. I also have a lot of grit on the slide rails and spring as ive ran about 600rds through it without cleaning so can I blast those parts?

C'mon, ohihunter2014 ... disassemble and properly clean the silly thing. :)
I did last night but ive been leaving work and rushing home to grab my bag and then rush to the shoot until 730pm and then home to dinner and forgot. usually after each shoot its cleaned but either my hp-38 powder or the federal factory im using is filthy. just looking for a way to clean all the internals out like springs, etc but not damage the plastic. :)
