Hello everybody!
I celebrated Independence Day by spending an hour at the shooting range with a different kind of fireworks, and after getting home I noticed my 9mm XD was no longer showing whether the striker was cocked via the indicator. I did not have any malfunctions with the gun but after removing the rear tab of the slide and removing the striker spring and guide, it seems the part of the striker indicator the sticks out behind the slide had broken off while firing. Fortunately, the broken piece didn't find it's way into the inner workings of the gun and jam it up.
It's an easy fix, but I'm having a hard time locating a site that has the OEM part for sale. It seems silly to send the pistol back to SA for a small part swap.
Anybody know where I can buy one? The part is circled in the pic below.
And out of curiosity, is this very common? I've never heard of this part breaking.
Thanks in advance for any help.
