So I got a stainless CMMG .22 conversion kit for Christmas, and went to try it out yesterday. Love it!:D It went through around 150 rounds of cheapo Blaser standard velocity bulk. But when I broke my AR in half to put my normal bolt in, the end plate and recoil spring shot right off, snapped at the weld. :banghead:I contacted CMMG, and they said that they'll send me a new frame, which is great. Has anyone else had this problem before? And are they usually quick with their shipping? Just curious, because I really want to get out and start shooting with it again.

I have had a dedicated .22 CMMG upper for a year and a half. It has shot many rounds and never an issue(other than the occasional light load or dud). I love mine. I hate to hear of your issues, but CMMG will fix them.

I had the exact same thing happen after 2,000+ rounds through it. I called CMMG and they replaced the part free of charge. Great CS.

They were really quick with shipping. They did ask for the part back afterwards so they could look at it. Before I could ship it, they just asked if I could take a few pictures instead. Very nice people and great CS.

I had the same problem second or third time out with my CMMG .22lr pistol, give CMMG a call or Email. I sent them a jpeg of the broken part and they shipped me a replacement the next day. They've changed the design of how its welded together.

The replacement has two welds and has held up fine for about 3000+ rounds so far (we tend to run about 500 in an outing), everyone loves shooting it since I've made it into an SBR.

I suspect replacing them as they break is cheaper than a recall of what is already in the retail channels.

Mine has been fine so far- but I will be watching that area for any cracks developing.
If I ever buy the TIG machine I've been wanting it may pay to beef it up.
