Thanks for taking up bandwidth with useless comments. guess you guys are out of Junior High today because of the holiday?

I was, in fact, not in Junior High on Monday. Sorry, our attempt to lighten your day was not intended to cost you, personally, any money...it's free of charge.:D

Geez...Glock fanboys have no sense of humor.....but I guess we all knew that.:banghead:

A CERTIFIED ARMORER'S THOUGHTS ...

The Trigger Bar - the serrated trigger face found on the compact and subcompact Glocks may be replaced with the smooth trigger found in the larger-frame pistols. Some find the smooth trigger to provide a more comfortable, positive contact between the trigger face and trigger finger. Note that the trigger is permanently attached to the trigger bar, so the whole assembly must be replaced. Additionally, the vertical extension of the trigger bar (which bears against the firing pin safety) and the rear "slope" (which bears against the connector) may be lightly polished to remove machining imperfections and generally smooth the trigger pull (see "Trigger Job in a Can" below).

Yes, it can be done. Order a smooth trigger w/trigger bar and drive the trigger pin out of the housing through the plastic with a 3/32 punch. It left a clean hole in the plastic trigger housing of mine. I then did the same with the trigger from my 36. Install the smooth trigger and set the pin. Some suggested that if I wanted to I could close the hole up with epoxy and india ink. I didn't see the need so I didn't. Called Glock Monday, and a new trigger arrived today.

Now that's what I call really crappy customer service!

A friend of mine has a Glock 17 that is about 6 years old and has probably 30,000 rounds through it. When he disassembled it he noticed one of the steel slide guides was broken off. He called Glock, they sent him a mailer, he mailed it in and about 10 days later received it back. Virtually every part except the slide and barrel had been replaced...no charge! Yep, very crappy customer service.

^^^i got a smooth face trigger for my g19 through my local glock armorer. they can order it for you. all i paid was $13.09

lot cheaper than glockparts.com, and you get it in the same amount of time.

however, if you don't have a glock armorer nearby, glockparts.com are great to deal with.

but it is still safe to use provided you avoid dropping it on the muzzle, on a hard surface, from a substantial height.
The trigger safety is to prevent inadvertent firing if dropped on its rear.
