All,

You might have seem my post about my new to me a5 rusting because I left it in the case after shooting. Well, after looking around I decided to try the product Blue Wonder on the rust spots.

It worked fantastic. All spots were easy to remove, the cleaner is fantastic with some light steel wool, then reblueing was a snap. Heating the metal to a high temp is a must and was easy to do with wife's hair dryer. I laid on about ten layers of blueing, developing afterwards. In natural light you can not tell at all. In direct beam, you can see where it has been touched up. I am going to try to put on more layers tomorrow to see if it will pass even direct inspection.

Used the cleaner on the outside of my Franchi 48AL barrel and was amazed at the crud that came away. A coat of CLP afterwards and the barrel shines like new, minus the wear lines and dings from North Georgia mountain rocks.

Thumbs up!!!

Glad to see the happy ending. Thanks for posting about the Blue Wonder stuff for others who may need it....
