    The directions say…

My gun barrel has been polished to a high polish and cleaned with Denatured alcohol. So I doubt I need this gun cleaner. But anyway…

Can I apply this stuff and then bring the barrel up to temperature in an oven? (maybe an hour) I would think that this would be a more consistent temperature throughout and would hold temperature long enough to do the whole barrel without applying anymore heat.

    Has anyone done this?

    Thanks,
    Dave

If it's been sitting for more than a few minutes in a normal environment it has already started collecting moisture, so I'd use the cleaner. I've done one gun with it and am very happy with the results. I wound up with about three coats to get it as dark as I wanted. After I was finished I hosed it down liberally with gun oil then wrapped it in Saran Wrap and let is sit for about three days.

    Thanks browningguy.
I’m going to use it, I’m just wondering if maybe I can bring the barrel up to temperature in an oven. How did you heat yours?
