Anyone have the specs on the Auto 5 mag tube cap thread pitch and whether any other brand matches? I don't have one handy to measure.
A buddy wants to add an extended mag tube to his beater for a house gun. I'm aware of the Nordic Components extensions, but they're a bit pricey for him. If something else might fit it would be nice, but I doubt that's going to happen. Ultimately I might end up taking a spare cap, boring it out on the lathe and silver soldering/TIG welding an 870 extension tube into the cap. Just hoping for other options.
