My favorite slug gun (light 12 w/ buck barrel) had the trigger spring break while hunting the day before thanksgiving. I had an old standard 12 pulled apart on the bench, so when I got in that night, I fitted the older spring (with the wings) to the newer housing by removing those wings. I was back out hunting the next morning, but now that deer season is over for me, I want to get that old standard 12 back together and I need to either find one of them older style springs or drill the housing to accept the spring pin and use the newer style spring.
So..... any advice will help me.... should I search for that older spring with the wings on it or should I drill the housing?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Call Browning or call Brownells to get the correct original spring.
That is a lot easier than drilling or doing something irreversible with metal.

I did a little surfing and found an old style spring at Lee's guns in Irving, TX... it wasn't as obsolete as I thought it would be.

Thanks for the help.
