I received an older marlin camp 9 today with trigger problems. I have not worked on the old camp 9 before. It does not have the disconnector assembly or the trigger spring and pin. The hammer strut bridge looks like it has been replaced.
From my research, it looks like in the early models a portion of the hammer strut bridge stuck down and acted as the trigger rebound spring. Is this correct?
I was planning on fixing it by drilling and installing the later style trigger spring and pin. Any problems there?
