The later Belgian made ones were not grooved, the barrels were drilled and taped to fit a cantilever mount. The grooved receiver rifles with scopes are vicinity accurate at best. I took the scope off mine, it’s more accurate with the iron sights. Thought many times of having my barrel drilled and tapped. Instead I’ve bought 4 or 5 other 22 rimfires that are not takedown rifles, they shoot much better, especially the CZ. You just can’t get the barrel tight enough to make them shoot well with a receiver scope mount. You can break the forearm trying though!
