I went to the indoor range to test for a bulk 22lr ammunition buy:

- 2 types of Aguila, subsonic and standard velocity
- Remington target
- Winchester t22target
- Federal 510
- Federal 710
- CCI std vel 40gr

600 rounds later I came to a conclusion: the Buckmark will eat and
shoot just about anything. Accurately. Very accurately. Some were
better than others but not by much. It was borderline wierd. People were
lined up behind the visitor windows watching.

I have been shooting Lapua and Eley because thats what I use in my
Anschutz.. At $7-10 a box, not cheap. I ended up buying 2000 rounds of Aguila Standard today because it works just as well as the high priced stuff. So would have the CCI std velocity or the 510. Do I attribute that to the ammunition suppliers ? Yes, to a degree. But... As much as I do hand loads (.223 or 22-250) and see variations, I expected a similar situation with a .22lr. Live and learn.

The winner was: Buckmark Target. The damn pistol just spit-em out. 10 round rotatations, no cleaning from start to finish, just cycle 600 rounds.
The sub-sonic Aguila wouldn't cycle but that was the only one (single cycle,
dead nuts accurate).

I can't tell you how impressed I was with the pistol, even though I have owned it a couple of years. I went hunting for the best ammunition under $7/box and found a b-u-n-c-h, not because the ammunition available was so good, rather, the host pistol was so good.

Spending a couple extra bucks for a quality pistol sure counts...

Just an opinion.

Enjoy,
