Howdy guys! This is my first post on the forums, so please bear with me if I'm oblivious so some protocol or something.

Anyways, I purchased a Browning Buckmark Camper about half a year ago and I'm absolutely loving this little thing. I've already taken it with me on hiking trip up in Wyoming and it was a joy to plink with.

I've been wanting to mount a laser sight on the pistol, but I don't really want to buy the Laser embedded grips. I already have some rosewood in the mail that I'm going to make some custom grips out of. The only option I can see at this point is to mount something on the barrel.

Right now my plan is to use a weaver mount usually designed for a 12 gauge shotgun barrel and mount a laser sight to that. I've also tried searching for something that would attach a weaver rail to the trigger guard but I've come up blank.

What do you guys think? Would that attachment to the barrel hinder my accuracy at all?

I agree with Tex, I wouldn't attempt to put a rail on it. I have two Buckmarks, one is a Micro Buckmark and the other a Buckmark Plus. On the Micro I have a Hi-Viz front sight and on the Plus I have a Hi-Viz front and rear. What a difference it has made on both guns. You're right, they are a pleasure to shoot and look great. I'd leave well enough alone.

Thanks ms, but I'm kinda dead set on a laser :p

I just ordered a universal NCSTAR laser sight, supposedly it's supposed to attach to the trigger guard. It was only 15 bucks so we'lll see how it goes.

Why not just buy the Buck Mark Scope Base [Browning code #12328] msrp $34.99? It adds a Weaver base to the receiver of your BM pistol. Giving you an accessory rail on the top of your gun.
