I want a low profile rear sight that mounts to a picatinny or weaver style rail.
I have a Hipoint 995TS, where I replaced the factory polymer top rail with a MUCH sturdier aluminum rail for scope mounting. Ran a scope for a while, but have had a red dot on it for a long while and I really like that setup.
I want to figure out a way to have iron sights on the carbine again. The original front sight is perfect. The original rear sight was actually pretty good, but it only works on the original rail, and I'm not going to be putting that back on the carbine. AR-15 style rear sights are quite a bit too high, so I have been looking for a lower profile sight.
I've only found a couple, and some are very expensive. Texas Weapon Systems (makers of a cool AK rail) makes one for $40, which I like, but seems a bit overpriced. Does anyone know of a cheaper one that is similar?
I've dug around Amazon and a bunch of other sites, but the vast majority of what I've found is meant for ARs and they are way too tall.
