Does anyone know if they make an extended mag for it? If not, why not? A 22 plinker needs more than 10 rounds!

Then I guess it's going up for sale. I'd rather shoot than load mags every 2 minutes.

No they dont.

Not very many .22lr's have more then 10 round mags.

Buy more mags.

It stinks... I know... I agree.

They aint exactly cheap either.

I've had my Buck Mark for 22 years and still have the original mag......and that's it.

Still never have gotten around to pickin up another one.

......Guess I should do that.

No extended mags... If you find some, let us know!

I would still love mine if it only had 5rd mags.

The thumb stud on the side makes it super easy to load the mags anyway.

You can get a large washer, bend it 90 degrees and use that to pull the follower button down.

If you don't like to load mags, have you heard of these?

+1 on that. I use one with my Buck Mark Hunter and love it. You can burn through ammo far more quickly with one of those and a single 10-round magazine than you ever could with a high-capacity magazine loading one round at a time. I actually have several 10-round mags for my Buck Mark, but I tend to only use one of them to force myself to slow down and make a box of ammo last a bit longer!

I've never understood though why .22 magazine capacity is typically limited to 10 rounds though. Are there any double-stack .22 magazine designs, or would that configuration be too prone to jams with the .22LR cartridge? Is there a legal precedent for the 10-rounders?

No, I dont think it's a legal issue (or there would surely be a non-MA/CA version). I think it has something to do with the cartridge itself.

My understanding is that the rimmed nature of the cartridge, and the resultant geometry, makes long mags that do not curve something of a technical challenge.
