Looks nice - if that's the stuff you need - but you didn't give us that information.

My question is: Have you checked to see if each item is listed as being "in stock" at order time? :scrutiny: Anything back ordered will be shipped to you separately, with a king's ransom in shipping charges. :eek:

Good luck. Their service IS good, though I don't like their prices anymore and I absolutely hate their shipping fees for backorders. :fire:
 
All I have is the press as of now, Hornady L-N-L.
Some of it is backordered, but it only costs an additional $12 in shipping and about 3 weeks wait time. I just wanted to get it all on an order, I've been building this list for a while.

Good....

Okay good so far, but my point is, for example:

Let's say there are 10 pieces backordered.
As each one trickles in, they will be scanned by barcode into their stock status,
their 'puter will snag one (or however many you ordered) and force an order to fill that backlog.

If 10 different stock items in backlog arrive on 10 separate days, you will get 10 separate partial orders filled, along with 10 separate shipping charges.:what:
 
I made sure of that while on the phone with them yesterday. They must have changed their policy since you ordered. She said that I would have a spot on the shelf, as items come in they would add to my pile, then ship it all at once when the last item came in.
 
I was in the same boat as you, getting ready to place my order later today. I just spoke to a customer service rep who confirmed backordered items all ship at the same time.

Real good advice. That was the first book I bought about 6 months ago. It helps to answer a lot of questions. I still had to do a lot of reading here too though.

I'm hoping Rcmodel throws his two cents in here. He has an eye for scruinty:scrutiny:

Wow, okay, THAT would be a sea change in policy for them. If you search for people who have become "ex" customers of Midway, you'll find legions of us. :fire:

Not simply because their price structure isn't as friendly as before, but mostly because of their (previous?) shipping habits.

Only thing I can figure out is they must pay you Navy guys way more then they paid in the Army 40 years ago! :D

Looks like there might be a duplicate on the "Lee case trimmer cutter & ball handle" + "Lee Case Trimmer Cutter and Lock Stud" further down the list?

I would ditch the Lee book and replace it with a Lyman #49.
Or, get both.
The Lee book is mostly a giant advertisement for Lee products with reprints of load data from all the powder manufactures you can get free off the web.

I think the RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center comes with everything you need so the Hornady Primer Pocket Reamer Package would be unnecessary.

I might forgo the Hornady One-Shot case lube in favor of Midways own brand. Lots of folks seem to have a lot of problems with One-Shot for some reason. Works for me, but?

Only other thing I see is, I just couldn't get by without my RCBS hand priming tool.
You may have it covered with press priming, but it's always nice to have the hand-tool option.

Holy cow how much does all that cost! I bought my stuff one piece at a time, I wouldn't buy all that stuff until your sure reloading is for you. Nice list though.
 
I've had the reloading bug for a few years now. I've had the press for over a year! I'm sure it's a hobby for me. I wanted to get it all at one time and finally ran into the cash to do so. I've done my homework for every item on the list, it took about six months to a year to build my wishlist on Midway.

I can't wait to get it all setup, I'll post pics and bug you guys to death with questions:D

What I did not see are caliper's, or a scale.

What about neck turner's and meplat uniformers or a concentricity gauge? Go whole hog... ;)

C'mon man, what did I get that was so abnormal? I'm sure you guys that have been reloading for over 30 years have more stuff than this. On shelves and in drawers...ect.

You're very lucky then ... my wish list got scrubbed on 1/1/09 ... :what: I think it was Midway's way of hoping I'd forget how much stuff cost in '08 ... but that's what the "print screen" function is for. :D

As for your list ... when funds allow, add the RCBS automatic powder dispenser to the CM1500 (assuming you haven't already). Also, I don't see a powder trickler, loading trays (for the cases to stand in) or ammunition boxes for the loaded rounds. It's late so I may have missed them.

If you're into accuracy... then at some point you will want these things. Just being proactive.
