I've had a case of the "dropsy's" especially with my Buck Vantage Pro which is my usual EDC. I dropped it shortly after buying it a few years ago and it knocked the blade pivot off-center. I contacted customer service, sent it in and they sent me a new one. Nice.
Well, soon enough that one hit the floor also with the same result....blade pivot knocked off center. For the past couple of years, every day when I used the knife I would be pissed at myself as I opened and closed it and the blade scraped against the liner.

Having a few tools but little sense I decided to try to see what I could do on my own. Got the scales off but then stripped the torx head on the blade pivot. I sent the whole thing back to Buck and knowing I voided the warranty I sent it with a note explaining that the damage was my fault and please tell me what it would cost to fix. A couple of weeks later I went to mailbox and there was my knife. All fixed, free of charge. Nice work Buck!

I have always had very good luck with Buck customer service. Like you I once messed up a Buck ( please don't ask, and I won't lie to you :D ). Sent it back with a note stating I would be glad to pay for the repairs, that it was my fault, few days later I received a repaired knife and a little smiley face note. That made me a long time Buck customer.

They were always way up there with the likes of Leupold + Ruger for me and even more so when they were more or less down the road while still in San Diego.
Great company, them.

Buck is a wonderful, family run business. They have great products and fantastic customer service.

I rate them very highly. Their customer service is as good as Henry Rifles. Both are superb.
