Buckmark Disassembly Problem

I just bought a Buckmark and want to disassemble it to clean it well. I'm having trouble removing the bolt, guide rod, and spring assembly. All the YouTube videos I have watched make it seem so easy, however I'm having trouble. They all say lift up on the guide rod when the slide is an inch or so back, but mine is stuck in there real good. I feel like I will break the guide rod if I lift up any more.

Any suggestions?

follow these instructions and you should be able to get threw it

Take a small/thin flat head screwdriver (or a knife) and push in on the back side of the polymer buffer and slightly upwards out of the slide recess. Should lift right out after that. Don't try to pry it out any other way or you risk breaking the tiny C-clip that holds the recoil spring in place.
