Just got off the phone with Buds (glad I called before I made the drive), and asked if they had two guns that my fiancé and I would like to try before we buy (P938 and Glock 43). Was informed that they didn't have either firearm to try at the range (understandable, can't have one of everything), and that they also do not accept GSSF discount coupons. Has this always been the case? Buds is losing out on two gun sales due to this (drop in the bucket for them, I know). I'll research and call on my own as well, but does anyone know of a shop in the Lexington/Hazard/Pikeville/London area that does accept the coupons and maybe has rentals?

I'm pretty sure Bud's has never been a Glock LE dealer
Guilty as charged. I glanced over the paperwork and didn't read the part where you should call Glock first. I did not know that they had to be a LE dealer to participate though. Looks like I'll be making a call to Glock on Monday. Thanks a lot!

I did read the information sent to me and nowhere in the GSSF MEMBER DISCOUNT PISTOL PURCHASE PROGRAM info doc did it mention that only Glock LE dealers or Glock, Inc can redeem the coupons ... but ...
it does state as #1 under Member Responsibilities, "Member contacts GLOCK for local dealer information, then calls the dealer to be sure they are participating in the program and that the dealer has the model they want to purchase in stock."

That's not entirely true, and last time I tried using it, their dealer locator was worthless for actually finding dealers willing to take a GSSF discount card. That's why I started this:

There are very few Glock LE dealers compared to the amount of overall Glock dealers. There is additional requirements for the dealer, as well as geographic limitations imposed by Glock. I would venture that 90+% of Glock dealers don't take the GSSF coupons.
Just got off the phone with Classic Arms. In addition to being more friendly on the phone than Buds, they do in fact accept GSSF discount coupons. Guess I know where the lady and I will be stopping by and shopping in the near future.
