I don't know how they stay in business with the deep discounting on the stuff they sell. I will buy from them again gladly.

I haven't dealt with them as an Internet seller since their shop is here in Lexington. I've been in a few times, but never found anything I felt compelled to buy.

Just bought my first gun from Buds on Wednesday. I hope to pick it up from my FFL today or tomorrow. So far I have been impressed with speed and price. They communicate well during the buying process and their prices on new guns can't be beat for the guns I am buying.
You can read the comments on their website. There are over 4500 I think. I read through a few hundred of them before I purchased. 95% or more are positive. The few negative reviews revolve around an issue with a gun and not being able to get a hold of customer service because the mailbox is full. This was mentioned in most of the negative reviews.
Before I made my purchase I talked with many people who had already purchased from Bud's. All of my friends were satisfied with the results.

I buy local! But have used their pricing as a guide line!
Ordered a MSAR E4 from them.
Pros:
1) transaction was easy (after I found the item)
2) my FFL was on file and I was able to simply click it; no faxing or mailing
3) my item was in stock, I paid a premium to them because of this instead of backordering with another cheaper shop (mistake on my part)
4) e-mails were sent at each stage along with tracking info
5) they responded quickly to e-mail, even on a Sunday morning
Cons:
1) the in stock rifle took 7 days to ship! Ordered Sunday so order went in on Monday; they sat on it til Wednesday when they charged my CC; sat on it until next Monday before it "moved to shipping," charged cleared and posted Friday before; rifle finially ships Tuesday evening arriving Thursday.
2) item was not listed under the MSAR link, I had to search for MSAR and then know the E4's stock number starts with 250 instead of 200.
They will NOT be my first choice, ever, when ordering again. Way too slow on the shipping, I've ordered from several other vendors who do just as much volume and that order would have be received on Monday, shipped by C.O.B. Tuesday, and in my hands Thursday/Friday/Monday depending on UPS. That is my expectation especially when paying a premium to not have to wait on a back order list.

I have bought three guns from them. One was delayed a few days, so they shipped it next day air at no cost. The other two purchases were perfectly smooth. I will buy from them again.

i have no reason to order guns online:
after shipping and FFL transfer fees, i've always been able to find the gun locally for the same price or cheaper than buds most of the time.
even if it is a little more expensive, at least i can inspect it before purchase--very important!
i would only use buds if they had a hard to find gun that i can't locate in my area, but that situation hasn't risen.
for me, their website is only good for pricing reference.

My experiences with them have all been good. I actually use them as an option for my "price conscious" customers if buying from them and me doing the transfer can save them some money.

Then you should consider yourself very fortunate! For items under $400 - $500, their prices -shipped- are often within 3% of what I can -buy wholesale- for at any of my distributors.
