Bud's Made Me Happy

I've had an itch for a Marlin 1894css for a bit now. When Bud's emailed saying my wishlist item was available I immediately snatched it up, knowing full well the trouble Marlin has been experiencing lately. When the gun arrived at my favorite pusher's office, I performed the obligatory once over. Taking the gun out of the box, I noticed it was a little larger than expected. Yep, Marlin packed up an 1894ss (44mag) and labled it an 1894css, matching serial #'s and all. It's a good thing I was expecting some let down. One email to Bud's and my dealer had my rifle sent back for credit the following day. 2 days later a used 1894c shows up in Bud's used rifle section. I give the guys at Bud's a call and they held the 1894c for me until my return was credited. I picked it up this afternoon and was more than pleased. The gun looks to be unfired, perfect bluing and wood and, best of all, a JM stamped barrel. Now if it would only stop raining!
