I just got an email from the BudsGunShop.com mailing list. It says they are now shipping handguns to NY, which is great. BUT.. my county is one of the the few still on their "no ship" list. I can understand of course not shipping to NYC and its related area.. but I cannot understand why Ulster would not be ok. As far as I know, Ulster county is one of the most progressive counties in the state as far as handguns are concerned. The County sheriff, whose office regulates permits and all new purchase amendments, is pro-gun. We have unrestricted carry permits, which some other counties do not have. And we are one of the only ( if not THE only) county which offers same day as purchase permit amendments on new handguns. I've emailed Bud's about what reason they will continue to not ship here, but have not yet gotten a response. it's very frustrating to me. Considering local prices, Bud's would be an excellent alternative.
