A 20' Alweld riverboat w/ 60 hp Yamaha 4-Stroke. There is no road access to the bunker on the big river. To find me you have to have a boat, airplane or during winter, a snowmachine.

Has anyone considered throwing a canoe on top of thier BOV? Most of my planned routes are paralel and up-river of where I plan to go. If things get too bad, I can take the Ohio River downstream at night.

Ok, fellas - we actually just did this for real!

Major wildfire in our area. I got paged out for VFD and wife started packing immediately based on the looks of things. Guns and important papers were stashed in one closet. She hitched up the Suburban to the camper trailer. She and the kids were just about ready to pull out when the deputy got there to tell them to leave. A "neighbor" from a ranch came and helped with the horses. They camped at the ranch about six miles away, well out of the timber.

I didn't even know where they went for about 16 hrs.

We are all back home now. Everything worked okay.
