Bullpup question

If they were superior they would be all over in competition shooting.

What competition shooting group does indoor rifle/carbine as their primary form? Note the OP asked about using a rifle/carbine for home defense.

Over and over again: bullpups have certain advantages. They are NOT the be-all-end-all "superior" gun and I'd like you to quote the post where I said they were. They're a form with certain advantages that has had some significant improvement lately.

Many early semi-auto pistols had problems. Later designs solved them. Are revolvers "superior" because early semi-autos had problems?

Go read the smartphone bit I posted above - note that a conventional phone is better than a smartphone for everything a conventional phone does. Yet smartphones have taken over. They're more expensive. They're more complex. The first ones were terrible and even the latest models still aren't as good *as phones*. Yet... they utterly dominate the market. Does that make them "superior"? No. Does that mean they should be ignored? Also no. Were early smartphone adopters idiots for not choosing a 'superior' technology? Not if they were using them for things a conventional phone couldn't do.

Choose the right tool for the job.
