I'm interested in getting in to Bullseye and IPSC, but I can't find any info about any teams or competitions here in Rapid City. Do you know of any going on in western South Dakota?

Go to www.uspsa.org and click on "Find Clubs" then enter your zip code.
Might pay you to look over the state line and see what there is in eastern Montana and Wyoming.

Bullseye is harder, go to
http://www.nra.org/nralocal.aspx
enter your location and how far you are willing to go.
That will get you some lists but you will have to check them out individually to see what they offer.

I see things haven't changed much out there. When I was shooting "combat" matches (pre-IPSC) and IHMSA in the late 70s - early 80s, we had to go way out of town to find a range.

There are a couple of guys from Rapid that have come to our matches in Bismarck.

bmrpa.org for the club website.

Road trip!

Just glancing at some of the surrounding USPSA clubs your options would be Pierre, Casper Wy, Greeley CO, and North Platte NE. Greeley has an excellent range and hosts some of the bigger shoots. Sioux Falls may also be an option, they are quite active as well. Don't know about the others.

I live in Omaha and we host 2 matches per month at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club plus we will hold the 2011 Sectional for Nebraska. Area III will be held at the Heartland shooting park in Grand Island. They also hold numerous matches year round. As an added perk stop by during the week and take a tour of the Hornady plant.
