Busy gun stores aren't just media hype.

Which is why when I found a nice buy on a P6 online I went against all my better judgement and laid down the plastic for it.
I'm with you on that. In June finally got off the fence about an AR and came off the hip for a Stag M4gery, an Eotech and several thousand little shiny brass things. It really wasn't in the budget but I decided that one day soon an AR in the safe would be worth more than a couple $k in the bank.

My guess is that Obama will ban the transfer which will make the speculations moot. If I were a speculator, I'd do AK-47's.

I've been going by my LGS every day for the last week and a half to watch the madness. Today I watched four guys buy nine firearms and several thousand rounds of ammo and I wasn't there that long. The shop is out of anything "evil" at this point including hi-cap mags. Fortunately, I haven't had to be part of the madness since I have been buying all along.:D

Went to local gun store today - nothing AR available, completely cleaned out and no date for when they'd get more.

They did have some Saiga's left, but same situation, when they are gone no idea when they will get more.

Was in Vances a few more times, I wasnt the only one. Huge crowds any time of day. I went both times at "odd" hours in the middle of the day. They were very busy!

I think this is great though. I say the more legal guns.... the better!

Somebody suggested buying an AK as an investment.
Wish I could justify another plinking gun to my
female 'Admin. Officer' :scrutiny: .

No more .223 or x39 for me for a while. With the (US and global) economic meltdown still trying to find the bottom, there will be lots of ammo available for a while. This situation is not the fall of Saigon...with the classic idling 'Air America' helo up on the high platform.

Think about it, a long list of foreign leaders all expect Obama to jump in January when they snap their fingers, and four cities are also asking for bail-outs...not just Ford, GM, Chrysler and large banks. Even the radical group Hamas endorsed him over McCain and has high hopes (never mind the Israelis nervously watching them, Hezb. and Iran).

Maybe one more can of x54R for the Mosins, but only at a normal price.
Otherwise, who is benefiting more right now-the shopper or retail scalpers:D?
Nobody has to buy any over-priced ammo if they don't want to:scrutiny:.

It's called free market economics. Current gun and ammo prices are a classic example of demand pull (good) inflation. Previous ammo prices were caused by an increase in materials cost, which is cost push (bad) inflation. As I said in another thread; if you don't like, or can't understand, basic free market economics don't worry: The incoming politicians will soon give you the socialist price controls you want so desperately.
