If I bought a used handgun in the Gunbroker but it can't work properly , what is Gunbroker's return policy? Can I just directly return to seller or still need to use a FFL dealer to do transfer ? who will pay the shipping cost? Thanks.

All depends on the sellers terms. Some have a 3 day inspection. Most do not and are sold as-is with a no return policy.

Hopefully you are covered.

I didn't have to use ffl when I returned a firearm to Beretta because it was my firearm. I already owned the gun. And, I didn't have to use ffl when Beretta returned the gun to me Because I already owned the gun. It was mine. I was not buying it. It was already mine.
But, after saying all that. It may be gunbroker policy to use a ffl. Check with them first.

That has nothing to do with this.

Exactly. What did the auction listing say?> GB has nothing to do with it. If it was sold as is, then you are sol.
Contact the seller

Have you identified what’s wrong with the firearm that makes it unable to operate? Most used sales on GB will “as is”, so return may not be an option in any event. But depending on the issue, it may be a relatively inexpensive fix in any event. There’s no recourse to GB unless it can be clearly demonstrated that the seller fraudulently advertised or lied about the firearm they were selling.

I guess GB has no way to help me, I'll just have to see if I can fix by myself. I will go to range to shoot it again. thanks.

Have you brought the problem up with the seller? I sold a rifle on GB and when the buyer took it out to shoot a problem developed. I wasn't aware of anything wrong with the rifle but he sent pictures of the part that broke and it didn't look like anything he did to cause the problem. He said he took it to a gunsmith for an estimate of repair and I sent him a money order for that cost.
If your seller won't work with you, leave negative feedback so others can make an informed decision on whether to do business with that individual.

I guess GB has no way to help me...

That's because GB didn't sell the gun to you, a dealer or individual did.

Have you contacted the seller? What type of issue are you having with the firearm? Have you checked with a local gunsmith to see if there's an actual problem with the gun, or if it's perhaps operator error?

Every time I've purchased a gun through GB, they've sent me an email trying to get me to buy a "protection plan" type warranty. I'm guessing you declined purchasing that? Kinda like buying a used car, declining the extended warranty, then wanting the dealer to fix or take back your car when it tears up.

I will consider your approach, if the problem is not resolved.

The problem that the bullet always was jammed, I found a local gunsmith, he did a deep gun clean , I haven't tried it yet.

GB has a buyer protection program, though I have never used it. It does not seem like the greatest program but it may be better than nothing.

I don't know how you paid on GB, but I always try to pay with a credit card that has buyer protection on it so that you can dispute at least a portion of the charges if the item is not as described.

That is assuming you already tried to resolve the issue with the seller and did not have any progress. This page from GB also lists some other possible remedies such as filing a mail fraud claim if you sent payment via the postal service. Good luck.

What kind of gun - Make and Model? What condition is the gun in? What type of ammo are you using? What type of jam is occurring? There's a good chance someone here can give some good advice or at least point you in the right direction, but they'd need a lot more info on what is going on.

Ruger Mark II .22 Lr. I am using Mini- Mag ,22Lr or Winchester .22 Lr. cheap ammo.

Holy cow did you contact the seller. Was asked multiple times and you just said I'll try that approach and never answered. A little communication may help but after posting here if I was seller and you didn't contact me first you are sol.

Still, let seller know. It could be a mag. Most folks who sell would just send you a new mag to try. Overall gun folks are good folks.

Any used rifle is a gamble. I bought a Springfield Bolt action 30-30 used from a sport shop and it turned out to have a bulged chamber. Took it back to the store and was offered a refund or they would send it out to be fixed. I opted to repair it and it was rebarreled. Gunsmith said it was probably fed hot reloads. No charge to repair for me. With the new barrel the rifle prints 11/2 inch or better at 100 yards. HAPPY CAMPER

That was within the rules for shipping to/from manufacturer for service/repair. This is individual to individual as a transfer and is covered by more restrictive requirements.

There are reasons why people sell guns. Usually because gun won't cycle reliably, won't shoot accurate, had damage/repairs, etc. none of it good reasons.

For these reasons, I do not buy used guns unless I could shoot them in person to verify proper function and accuracy. If I could not shoot them in person before purchase, I would ensure there was a return policy.
