Yep, I caught that also, almost posted it, but so tired of people exploiting the current situation "especially them", I was going to let it go. Since you put it up I have to say it is indeed shameful behavior on their part, playing both ends of the debate.
We know it's "all about the money" with these guys.

Oh come on, that's only $1k more than I paid for the exact same rifle... Where's the exploitation?

;)

FL Gun Exchange has them for less than $900 right now. The weather's quite fine this time of year...

I think this may be worse...

I saw that and didn't even open the email. Walmart had an AR in the case last night for $997 but I didn't even look at it closely. Ammo was completely empty other than shotgun and 30-06.

In contrast, Midway USA just sent me an e-mail telling me that 4 Pmags I had on backorder were now available. $13.25 each. Shipping today. Larry Potterfield - you have earned my business for the long haul. What a stand up operation.

I got the same e-mail this morning.
Some people loathe CTD. Havig perused their site as well as the catalog I have to say I understand the reasons -- "Cheaper" than "dirt?" Yeah. "Cheaper than plutonium" as some wag refered to them somewhere else....another thread, maybe another website even.
But I have to say I did just received a rifle sling from them which was reasonably priced and delivered promptly.
Now, as to ordering AR-15 rifles from them:

I DON'T THINK SO.

Even if they did have the best price on something (that'll be the day, right?), I'll still never buy from them. I won't even visit their website.

Trying to employ scare tactics to sell your product is pretty unscrupulous, bordering on immoral (even illegal).

Yeah....but unfortunatly they aren't the only ones using scare tactics. I get lots of e-mails from pro 2A groups claiming that if I don't give them $$$ Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosu, et al, will ban my guns.
And let us not forget the antigunners are the real champs at scare tactics.

I deleted that email earlier today.

While AR prices aren't what they used to be, my LGS had about a dozen AR's on the wall earlier this week. No ammo, but rifles and mags were in stock.

I think we are through the worst of the gun panic, but I fear we still have a ways to go to be in the clear on ammo.

Like Tommy, I get the pro 2A scare tactics as well. NAGR is the worst when it comes to that.

Sometime back in Feb, I got so sick and tired of the CTD emails that I unsubscribed. I've never been happier not to get emails anymore from these clowns.

Never mind that you can buy that same model for almost a thousand dollars less from other online retailers right now.

Never mind that CTD is still listing 6920s for $2500 when you can get them from other online retailer for $1000-$1300 (that's today, in stock).

Never mind that they haven't kept up with the news.

Never mind CTD...

Profiteers, carpetbaggers will always surface from the bottom when opportunity occurs.

It is not my first rodeo. The bulls seem to be getting bigger, meaner and morre crazy as I have gotten older though.

News reporting should no longer be called that. It should be called the "my warped opinion show" or "This is my agenda, you should be part of it."

CTD is making a living by stabbing their clients in the back and that ain't too cool.

They are on my doo doo list now also.
