They have some really good prices but i have never bought from them before, anyone have experience with them? just don't want another ebay experience where things are incorrect or missing. thanks

I've had good luck when I've ordered from them. Some people have reported dealyed shipping, but I've always gotten my stuff in reasonable time. As far as prices go, sometimes they can be the cheapest, sometimes they're not. Just like anywhere you might shop around.

I buy from them regularly and have never had any problems. MAKE SURE you are getting items located in the same warehouse as they have several. If you order 2 items from warehouse "A" and 1 from warehouse "G" then you will pay big shipping fees.

I order 5.45 ammo from them usually 10 boxes at a time and throw in a few other types if needed for some calibers that are high or OOS at the LGS. They are not always the cheapest but are usually competitive.

I bought ammo a few times from them 8 or 10 years ago. Had no problems.

I recently found a Colt AR-15 on their site for about 10% less than any other vendor. So I ordered it up, half expecting to learn that it was "out of stock" or something. Lo and behold, I got a steal of an AR, and shipping was something like $14.

They're legit, if not always the cheapest.

anyone have experience with them?

Their catalog prices look pretty good on some things. But watch out. They'll rape you on shipping.

I used to be a good customer.

That was then.

This is now. ;)

I use the catalog for bathroom reading at the cabin. I don't expect any catalog to be accurate if it is mailed out every month or so but i can look and then go to the website.

I can't imagine why anyone complains about shipping on an item they buy online. Don't you see the shipping before you click to buy? Any internet purchase I make, be it guns or underwear, I know the final price before I agree to the purchase. Free shipping and then a jacked up price is no better than high shipping and a low ball price. Total delivered price is what matters assuming of course we are talking apples to apples.

You might want to look at Sportsmansguide They have some good deals if you want to buy bulk, and if you join their club you get 10% off every purchase and... they let you pay it in 4 monthly installments to your credit card . Helps out if your not flush with money, and or if it is a large purchase.

TRIGGA, I should tell you also... I bought a case of .308 lake city sierra matchking shells from them. When I recieved my product, I counted the shells out into ammo boxes , and was short 20 rounds. I called them that night ,and they refunded me the amount shorted right then. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

On total costs (with shipping), I've never ever found them cheaper than others like SGA, Ammunition to go, and others. BTW - PSA has free shipping till Sunday.

try ammotogo, aimsurplus, and palmetto. i just ordered a bulk pack of 500rds of .223 from palmetto shipping was only $9

And no, you don't always see the price. For example Samco global doesn't tell you how much it will cost. You get to be surprised!

Strike that one off my list of companies to look at. I don't think I would buy anything from a company that did not tell me what they were charging, on shipping or on the product.
I have bought from Palmetto and aimsurplus as well with no problems. I really only shop 3 items online and buy the rest locally. 5.45, 6.5x55, and 32-20 are outrageous locally.

I order most of my ammo from them CTD. The more you get, the more you save. As long as it is all from the warehouse, so pay attention. The only drawback I've found is conjuring an order up that's all from the same warehouse to get a better shipping/handling price. Otherwise, they ship really fast and have decent customer service. I has to ask for a supervisor once, and I was treated fairly. I say try 'em out.

I just ordered a pm9 from Bud's gun shop and it has been three days and it still hasn't been left their "shipping" department! Maybe they ship their ammo a little quicker...

Imagine this, then...

The shipping price they showed on orders I was about to place with them is exactly why I stopped dealing with them. Well, that and the less than honest prices they advertise in their catalogs.

So, no one needs to actually buy from them to see what a rip-off their shipping can be. Or how the prices in the catalog you received today are no longer the prices they're selling for. Today. ;)

Ive used CTD plenty of times. Ive never had a problem. They have several warehouses so select items from the same warehouse to cut back on shipping.

I placed an order, but I cancelled it when they gave me the shipping price.

I miss their old black and white catalogue filled with surplus items and cheap knives etc. Perfect for a kid. now it's mostly in color and full of AR parts. Prices have gone up too. sigh......

Their store in ft worth is just a gun shop. I was hoping for a dusty warehouse full of cool old stuff, not clean well organized, well lit establishment.

I am retired.

I work P/T for the the internet ammo sales dept at the Armory.

I think we have good deals and good prices, check it out for yourself, often as things change fast in the ammo industry.
When you fill your cart you will get your shipping price, and total cost.
If you like the total cost press send. This will be your only cost.

I can't get you a discount but boss has said if you put "Docs friend from THR" in the ordering instructions it goes to the top of the pile. We also answer all phone calls with a live person.
I am not trolling for them as I prefer not to work too hard but if it gives you another source for ammo then God Bless.
