Is it me, or do some big online sellers not come across the honesty line ?
For example (nameless) retailers that advertise their guns, when you want to buy, they can't deliver ?
This is in regards to (but not limited to) :
ArmsList, GunsAmerica, GunsInternational, etc.
This is not an indictment against the above. Just certain retailers.

Several times I've tried to order online guns from (certain retailers), which said they had other buyers, etc., but they remained online for sale for months.

Also, when I ask to see the online guns in order (i.e. lowest), I have to view the guns that have been "SOLD". Is this a cobb or what ?

Is it me, or does this irritate you too ?

The only ones I’ve had that problem with are local online sellers who [apparently] have already sold the item, but don’t bother to take down their listing.

And then they don't have the decency to respond to your query, one way or the other! :-(

On a new gun I always ask if the gun is "for auction only", or if it has been in their display case where customers can rack the slide, try the trigger, spin the cylinder, etc. If it advertised as a new gun I only want a new one and not one that has been played with by no telling how many lookers.
