Before the Daisy Red Ryder the iconic gun of our youth and still in production today. There was the Buzz Barton.
In 1932, Daisy signed circus performer Buzz Barton to put his name on a special BB gun. The Buzz Barton. A depression era gun that young boys would die to have. By 1933 America in the great depression and in a about 10 years will be going back to war in WWII. Daisy had put out the economical no. 101 and 102 Model 33 that where sold for around $1. However they also marketed a higher end product called the Buzz Barton Special named after the child rodeo star. Buzz’s roles in the new media “film” was limited but his name will forever be etched in the No.’s 103 and 195. Imagine the excitement experienced by a little boy or girl getting one of these under the Christmas tree.,
