I'm looking at buying a first issue Colt Police Positive that was manufactured between 1907 and 1927. I don't have access to the serial number immediately.

While this is clearly older than 50 year, I don't specifically see the gun on the C&R list.

What confuses me is that the list does reference Colt Police Positive guns but actually lists specific serial numbers and engravings in some examples.

Is this gun C&R eligible and, if so, what on the C&R list would indicate that?

Thanks for any info and sorry if this is an uninformed (I won't use "stupid") question.

Over 50 years old = Relic. "Firearms which were manufactured at least 50 years prio to the current date, but not including replicas thereof"

Part 478, Title 27 CFR Chapter II, page 36, in the Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide.

The C&R list that is updated every two to three years will not show all Relic firearms, but if its 50 years old generally speaking its qualifies.
