I haven't kept the form so I can't quote it directly but there was an ammo question involved. There was also something about the number of weapons bought or sold since I got the license.
Being a person who flits around, interest-wise, until I settle into a groove, I made a bunch of purchases, most of which I sold off not too long after. I hadn't made any overall profit, though. Most of what I sold incurred a slight loss but, when I actually counted it all up, I could see how some form reviewer could maybe think that I had some kind of part-time business going on.
More about the ammo question:
I just called my father (he keeps everything) and asked him to read me the questions on his renewal form (sent to him approx. 8 months after I got mine.) There were no ammo questions on his (a different version of the form?) I even remember a thread in which some of us were speaking about this very same thing a year or two back so I did a search here, on the other forums I frequent, and with Google; I came up with nothing. My father did remember my telling him at the time I got my form that I was uneasy about having to say how many rounds I had on hand so I know that at least I didn't dream it up recently.
This whole thing makes me wonder, though, because I quit drinking almost 9 years ago and have kept my facts and recollections pretty straight and consistent since then. This is unsettling.
Did anyone who renewed their license within the last 2 years (maybe more) have the same experience?
