Ca. State AG debate with 50.cal included.

I know this may not be the right forum, but we out here
in Ca have to pick a new AG which is a blessing on in
it's own self. Here are the two candidates. One is Mayor
Jerry Brown..the other in Sen.Poochigian. They
had a debate today and the 50. Cal as well as so called
Assault Weapons were part of the topic. I'm hoping more
will see this and help Sen Poochigian when voting in Nov.
Here's the vid of the debate. It's pretty short. If this
post is off topic here I'm sorry, but it is gun related and
political. If it's moved of closed, I hope at least some
will be able to watch just a bit of the debate and see
for themselves just what Jerry Brown has on his agenda
for lawful gun onwers out here in Ca..

Jerry Brown could only win in CA, NY or MA. Maybe DC. He is silly and a very hard lefty. He would take your gun and put it right in his closet if he could get away with it. I swear, if I hear the phrase ".50 caliber assault weapon" one more time :banghead: Explain to me how something that is 35lbs and 4.5 ft long can possibly be considered an assault weapon. The antis indiscriminate use of the term demonstrates its utter lack of relevance. It has long since lost any semblance of significance it might once have had; becoming nothing but a catch-all, fearmongering moniker.

* Senator Poochigian is not a 'dream candidate' for gun owners.

* Jerry the Moonbat is a nightmare for gun owners, property owners and anyone else who would prefer the state not own them.

This is PDSR California. Anywhere else in the United States, Gov Schwarzenegger would be a moderate to conservative Democrat. Conservatives pick the least evil available. I can think of few to vote 'for'.

Jerry Brown isn't really all that anti. He's more of one of those "people don't need assault weapons" types. He's forced into a stronger anti role by the Democratic Party. He's been seen giving the NRA booth at gun shows a thumbs-up, I'm told.

He's also mellowed quite a bit since the '70s.

Don't get me wrong... I'm voting for Poochigian, and I hope he wins... but he won't. Even with Brown's record and the crime wave in Oakland during his tenure as Mayor, he's going to be our next AG.

This won't be quite as bad as you might think... the biggest problem with guns and Bill Lockyer wasn't Bill Lockyer, but the person he had running the Firearms Division. I've heard that when Bill is out, so is she, and a lot of the OLL hysteria will die away. Of course, AB 2728 being signed into law makes the AGs position mostly a moot point.
