Folks, this isnt only a California thing. Everyone knows how this stuff can bleed off to other states. Its everyone's duty to get involved now before the damn breaks.

Letters sent!

There’s not much people in other states can do about it, Beethoven. You know how corrupt our California legislature is. You know how they have gerrymandered the districts to insure re-election time and time again. They could care less what their ‘constituents’ think, let alone somebody from another state. Add the fact that the California Republican party is no more than a bunch of do-nothing elitist country club types, and the NRA doesn’t seem to expend any resources here (but they love to fund raise; I must get a letter every week from them).

This legislation is so horrible and so unworkable, I can’t help but believe it’s political ploy to attack Schwarzenegger with in the future.

Amen to that Brother!!

I let my NRA membership expire about 3 years ago
after I sent them a letter asking what exactly my dues
were paying for in California.Their response was how
they were doing this and that in other states and
at the .gov level. All very well, but didn't answer my
question. :banghead:

I beg to disagree. I have learned from a reliable source that Federal was the ONLY munitions company in Sacramento this week.
Everyone needs write, call, e-mail and ask what they were doing in Sac this week and do they think we, the shooting public will support them by buying their product if they support SB 357. Olin and Remington have said they wont.

This is my declaration of war with anyone who supports this POS!!! That includes Federal Ammunition!!! :cuss: :cuss:

both Ab 352 And Sb 357 Are Scheduled To Be Heard Tomorrow, Tuesday June 28!!!!!!

Call And Write, Call And Write!!!!

Those of you "in the loop" on this thing please keep the rest of us updated. Here's to hoping it doesn't go any further...

Pure conjecture.

IT IS PROVEN THAT LEGISLATION SPAWNED IN THIS COMMUNIST HELLHOLE WILL SPREAD TO OTHER STATES.
Sources? Examples?

Perata's SB-23 never spread beyond the PRK border, and as a matter of fact, the '94 AWB expired on this side. :scrutiny:

Here is what out of staters can do

one o fyou cali guys give us a list of ammo companies to call and tell we wont support/buy their product if they go along with this.

Let us know what happens with this today. If nothing else, it's interesting to watch.

Doesn't look good.

Interesting op-ed on liberal priority (source):
But while these gun bills have passed the floor in their house of origin, bills to extend parole periods and require GPS tracking of sex offenders (SB 1044), prevent felons from owning sex offender group homes (SB 1046), keep sex offender group homes away from schools (SB 1051), and create a one-strike punishment for certain sex crimes against children (SB 448) have been defeated or stalled in Sacramento by the Democrat majority.

Do you feel safer yet?

These bills both AB 352 and SB 357 still have to go for a full vote before they get to the Governor and he vetoed every gun bill last year except for AB 50 the .50 BMG ban.

You really need to contact your representatives and the Governor so that he can veto it. Get everyone you know to contact them! Some manufacturers are saying they won't comply with SB 357 which is good.

Remington is one of the first right here:

Hmmm, the unPatriot Acts now this.... It's starting to resemble something that happened 60 something years ago somewhere else...

If I'm reading it right - AB 352 on the assembly floor today got 41 Yes votes and 38 No votes.
All they're saying about SB 357 is that it had a hearing scheduled for 6/28 before ASM PUBLIC SAFETY.

You can get bill info here http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/bilinfo.html
They're usually very good at updating it.

Simply put, all ammo manufacturers should refuse to sell ANY ammo to CA law enforcement. Like Barrett did.

This garbage will never pass in Pa , but in support of my fellow gunowner's, I will never buy ammo from any company that complies with this abomination.
