cabela and their version of the 1862 police

Interesting side note, Dell leathers the co. I found that makes holsters for the 1862 colt police. Told me that Cabela's customers for their version of the police are getting a full sized frame with the barrel cut down. It's been giving the people at Dell a fit because people were ordering their holster only to find out that they won't fit. Dell called Cabela and they acted like they could give a rats butt about the mis-information. Dell took care of it by adding a sidebar to their website that explains it all.
I have seen cut down full size colts in 44 cal. and I think they call them Sheriff models.

What Cabela's sells for an 1862 is really a short barreled 1861. I have a couple of them. They are a six shooter, not a five shot.
