I shoot a lot! I mean...stupid a lot! I get off work early on friday...go shoot 400-500 rounds...then many times will return on sunday for the same drill. 1000 rounds a weekend. There are times I'll shoot less..but I can get carried away! I can buy reloads from a reputable business in this area for around $240 per 1000 with brass exchange. I can buy Wally world stuff for $39 per 100 for white box ammo. Either way...I'll go broke if I maintain current trends. Jeez! I thought golf was expensive.
Therefore...
Bullseye : $22.00 pound. (22.00 / 7000 grains = .003 x 5.2g = 1.6 cents
CCI Primers $28.00 per 1000 2.8 cents
LEAD bullets: $80 per 1000 - 8 cents
Brass - FREE (people at the range know I'm a whore and offer up their brass)
The total cost per round is 12.4 cents X 100 = $12.40 per bx of 100 rnds.
I never really put it to paper..and just recently amazed myself at the savings! I JUST Switched to lead...tried some Bullseye and it worked VERY well. All cheap stuff!
FINALLY..I can tell my wife that I'm saving money and not cross my fingers!
Maybe now I shouldn't feel guilty about spending the $400 plus on a Dillon. I can actually state that it was an investment..and keep a straight face!
