I just got my new Keter folding workbench today for use as a portable shooting table and it looks promising. It's not as stable as concrete, but a lot more portable. I got this one from Northern Tool because it was the only model that I saw with the extendable legs that give it the full 33.7" bench height (I was going for 34"). It goes from fully folded to fully deployed in seconds. I have some 3/4" plywood to make a better top for it, mostly so I can get some overhang on the back end to keep my knees and stool from hitting the bench when I address my rifle on the Caldwell rest. Cool thing is the bench comes with a pair of quick clamps that store inside, perfect for attaching the plywood top. And it's not JUST a shooting bench, I can use it around the house for chores. Anyway, not trying to shill for Northern Tool, just thought I'd share the link to the product for interested folks to check out. It's on sale $20 off what I paid for it, figures....

I got the higher weight capacity one with out the telescoping legs when they were on sale for $69.

It’s better than the old workmate benches for sure but not as stable shooting platform as this smaller, dimensionally, formed concrete bench. Female pipe fittings were in the form when the concrete was poured in, so they unscrew, making it portable, although heavier than the plastic work table.

I have one of those and use it all the time. Never thought to use it as a field shooting bench, Thanks for idea. BTW saw an exercise bench converted into a portable shooting bench by adding a tcomfy tractor seat and a front tray. Strangely your can often find these for free (and apparently unused) . Keter makes some nice stuff, My table came from Costco years ago at less than half of what northern is asking.

I have used my 30 year old Black & Decker Workmate
The top surface is small so I made a bigger T shaped add on top. It has a board running down the middle on its bottom side that I clamp in place using the workmates built in screw clamps.

Bet many asking/googling "what's an ironing board?" right now. Btw my keter table sets up and takes down lightning fast. Keter makes a nice bench but their sheds suck royal.
