I like the .41 because what you see is what you get... unlike the .44, which, as we all know, is the Wizard of Oz hiding behind it's .429" curtain... and I hate false advertising. Everyone knows the .41 is more powerful and flater shooting than the .44, recoils less, because of all that extra weight on the cylinder and barrel, and kills everything deader than dead. I've seen a .41 bullet split in 4 pieces and hit 4 separate targets in the bullseye... THAT's how good a .41 is.
Meh... I get kind of bored with some things... I'm completely out of the .38/.357 business, primarily because I like shooting autos more than revolvers. I only have 4 revolvers left... 3 .41's and a .45 Colt. I was out of the 9mm business for many years... sold all my components, dies, everything... but now that I carry, I'm back with the 9mm, and had to go out and buy everything, again. It is what it is.
I've only owned 1 .44SPC... it was not the pot 'o gold at the rainbow's end some make it out to be. It does nothing better than my .41's or .45 Colt won't do, although I'll admit the pistol... a Ruger .44 flattop... was a right handy pistol. I miss the pistol, but not the Ruger part. Never owned a .44MAG, likely never will.
I also won't ever own a .40 S&W, although the 10mm really intrigues me. Maybe someday, maybe not.
I guess every cartridge intrigues me in some way... I like shooting different firearms. Some turn out great, others are colossal failures, at least for me... but they are all interesting.
