California banned guns this year

This year, the Beretta 90-Two was banned by default since Beretta has chosen not to jump through all the hoops to get it approved in CA.

According to the CADOJ, most of the Beretta 92 models may drop off the list as of December, 2006. I'd be surprised if Beretta abandons the CA market, but perhaps California has abandoned Beretta? as of 2007, any semi-auto handgun must have a loaded chamber indicator AND a magazine disconnect to be added to the 'roster'. The 90-Two has the loaded chamber indicator, but the manual does not seem to mention the mag disconnect.

If it is in process of being 'approved' now, the mag disconnect is a non-issue; once on the 'roster' an approved weapon can stay there.

Ok... yet another thing that won't make sense, the pistol is good enough, reliable enough, and safe enough for the army to cary them into combat.

but heavan forbid we let regular guys get them.

GAH I need to get out of california.

but I did run out and get my AR so with a little luck I'm contributing to making some polititians sleep poorly tonite.

"(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel. "
"plus maybe a Remington 700 based rifle and anything else that may soon be deemed non-PC sometime soon by the politicians here. ":what: Remington 700 lol. Soon it'll be 94's and SAA's:neener:

After living in Calif. for 35 years and being very active in fighting in the political battles, ( and losing most of them) I can assure you, one of these days, the communistnazis who control the political scene, the Media including the entertainment business, and certain businessmen/women and industrialists, will outlaw ALL firearms for the worker peasants.

Of course, there will be exceptions. (There always are exceptions to Draconian laws, aren't there?) The gun ban laws will not effect the Megamillionaire Marxists and Billionaire Bolsheviks, and/or their very expensive and very well armed bodyguards.

(The worker peasants can eat cake, can't they??)

That's just the way of things.

So CZ75s should still be availible in '06, but not stainless ones, like I want.

It's the same mechanically, just a different fit and finish. They won't deny you one... will they?

of course they will. If you make a pistol with 3 barrel lengths, 3 caliber choices, and three sight configurations and two finish choices, you have to send fifty four different handguns to the Cal DOJ for "testing" to insure they are all "safe".

Seattle/Everett area. Got a few Marine Corps buddies from there, and just visited them to check it out. I will miss some SoCal things, (Year round motorcycling, In-n-Out, friends and family, San Diego canyon riding, etc) but my new AR/FAL/AKs, CCW, and cheaper rent will make up for that, I bet.

Same situation for me except I'm moving to the Hanover, NH area for grad school. I will miss some NorCal stuff, (year round motorcycling, In-n-out, friends, great mountain roads, fantastic competitive shooting) but my new AR/ Class III/ Suppressors, CCW, and lower taxes will make up for that I bet.
