California gun haters are going to have a field day

Marijuana initiatives are their current back door. You put that on the ballet and all the non working young stoners come out to vote and they are socialists.

I really don’t even care about the marijuana, I’ve never smoked it, but can see treating it like alcohol being reasonable. The meth is ruining small towns. I’d be for the death penalty for anyone peddling or making it.

The big myth is that social engineering trumps human nature. The force of law doesn't make us better people; it just keeps our worst impulses in check.

People have certain destructive/abusive tendencies that need to be controlled in order for society to function. We can regulate our own behavior and interactions up to a point. That point is exceeded when population density gets too high. Then excessive regulation and the consequent enforcement come into play, and personal freedom takes a back seat.

The big irony is that the people who are calling for Big Government regulation of everything are the first ones to cry "Police brutality!" when that regulation is enforced. They hated Bloomberg when he pushed stop-and-frisk. Now that he's advocating gun control, they love him. It seems that it all depends on who's being frisked and what's in their pockets.

The thing that makes me fighting mad is the fact that 90 percent of these people leave Kali, and then try to turn the place that they moved to into another Kali.

Colorado is a perfect example.
That is a legit concern and one that worries me. My state is very low population. If enough socialists moved here, and the tax and home costs are reason enough to do so frankly speaking, the native population could easily be overwhelmed. A historically unwavering red state with terrific gun laws could become a cesspool of snowflakes and attitudes that give trophies to people just for showing up.

My hope is of course that it never happens. But I really hope it just doesn't happen during my career, so if it does eventually, I can just move wherever I want without repercussions.

In another recent thread, the assertion was made that voting when living in a oppressive socialist state was a waste of time. This scenario is another good reason why voting is NEVER a waste of time. If for nothing else it helps people see how their state is changing in voting patterns and if they need to think about relocating.

The best defense for my state is a lack of amenities and infrastructure. It dissuades the yuppies who want to live in the country but also want a Starbucks on every corner from coming here.

If you don't want to smell cow crap, keep a rifle on hand, and drive at least two hours round trip to grocery shop, my state is a poor option.

This nation really needs an attitude adjustment. In my opinion it's going to take another Pearl Harvor before people will unite.

Never happen. Country is to far gone... the morals are shot, ethics lost, common sense and a sense of responsibility out the window. Over the years people have have become entitled, follow whatever the blue wave leads em to believe (I like how everyday, every hour it was the "immigrant caravan" coverage then the election happened and then zip, really no more mention of it for awhile. Now, it's America is responsible for the rest of the world and we have to pay for them, medical meth is on the horizon, I need a safe space, and "how dare you think anything that doesnt meet my self entitled thoughts that I publicly announced". Here in Colorado the Legislature hates seat belts, loves people driving around with their cell phones, hates the A2 with a passion (Fields) and (insert Diety here) Forbid you touch their precious dope (which by the way none of the funds can be accounted for..mysteriously) The California people here are just as bad , hate road funding, hate school funding....so the smell of cow poop, a rifle in the back of the truck and a 2 hr drive seems like a little slice of Heaven. Lived here since 75 and have seen the erosion.

With "ballot harvesting" and such other tools at their disposal the liberals never need lose elections again in California. In the 2018 elections six or seven Republicans who were well ahead at the end of election night ended up seeing their seats flipped in the next two weeks as late-arriving ballots continued to show up just long enough to change the outcome. Florida and Georgia tried similar types of fraud with trunk-loads of ballots showing up for days, but weren't successful except for the FL Commissioner of Agriculture (who issues CCW permits in FL). This type of scam (including hundreds of convicted felons voting) is also how the comedian Al Franken got elected in MN in 2008 (and he was the deciding vote on passing Obamacare).

The leftists will never give up power in California, or if they are eventually somehow ousted it'll be after things get waaay worse than they are now. Most of us here will be long gone by then.

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately ~ Ben Franklin
As people come off the farm and into the cities, their ability to meet their own needs is reduced, and they become more reliant on those who promise a chicken in every pot, etc. We saw this happen in the UK, in India, in Asia, and just about every industrialized nation. The people are still good, but government is no longer by the people or for the people. It becomes a self-perpetuating monopoly fueled by greed and misinformation.

It's an uphill battle because public resources are easily used against us, but it is critical to seek out the truth, vote for the better candidates, and don't give up on CA or any other part of our country. The pendulum will swing the other way sooner or later if we're in for the long haul.

That is one option in the arsenal another is starting or escalating international conflicts to maintain power.
There is dispute regarding pulling our troops out of Syria and Afghanistan. I'm spending this Christmass and New Year in safety of my home.

When I had a kitchen table FFL back in the old days, I had to log EVERY round of ammo I sold, including .22LR

Yup, and it did nothing. Canada got rid of their ammo logs because they’re useless... but that doesn’t matter to the libs, they’re trying to make gun ownership do onerous you’ll just quit. As a kid I remember when Texas had that law as well, my Grandfather had to put his info in a book whenever we bought ammo in Kerrville.

Stay strong and stay safe!

I'm 74, and have no grandchildren, so I will not suffer from it.

I truly feel sorry for those who have grandchildren. Those kids will have to live as socialist slaves in a "new" Soviet Union.
