I have been playing the new game Call of Duty 4 and Im pretty impressed with the level of detail and realism that they are putting into these new shooting games. Some guys rifles will have CCo's while another unit will have an Eotech. Bullets actually go through walls and the variety of weapons is pretty good.

But the most fun is the level where you are the gunner on an AC 130 and have to cover an escaping SAS unit.

If you play games, you will love this one.

Yes! I just got done playing that level, so cool. Now time for bed.

Oh and I agree, the little details really add up, quite a bit more going on then Rainbow Six Vegas.

Does it have zombies?
I once played Return to Castle Wolfenstein single player and enjoyed it for the WWII realism...until zombies appeared.

I'm waiting for my Xbox 360 to come back after I sent it because of the Red Ring of Death. :fire:

I examined the gameplay footage and was quite impressed. I like how it's seems to also be a fast paced game.

Worth the $60, and a great game, IMO. The melee attack is tops.

The single gripe I have with the game is that you can't take cover or peer around corners a la R6V or GOW.

Aw, RTCW was a great game -- go back and finish it if you haven't. It was never intended to be a realistic protrayal of WWII, but rather takes the Nazis' dabbling in the occult and creates a make-believe world based on that. The best firefights are against human opponents -- the secret female assassin squads and especially the German paratroopers.

I did not know there were gamers here!

Newegg had the game but it is out of stock today $46 I think.

Drop by the FKR servers after we get the mod up and running.
I wonder how mant FKR members are in this forum as it is?

I loved the AC-130 part. I deliberately screwed up the mission multiple times so I could replay it. Even called my fiance into the room to watch, I thought it was so cool. Even the commentary of the gunner/pilot was great. "Well, that one's going on my highlight reel!"

I liked nailing the tanks with the javelins, as well.

This is the most fun I've had with a videogame in a while.

I have the surround sound system cranked up so loud the neighbors probably are probably gonna call 911.

Forget the demo 1.37GB at 150KB gonna take too long, I can run to the store and be back before the demo is even downloaded. GF is gonna hate this, I'll be glued to the PC for the next week or so.

It's a very good game. It takes every bit of my self control to work today instead of sit around and play it.

I'm gonna rent it just because I can usually beat a game in about a week

It shouldn't take more than a few hours to beat, but it's the multiplayer that makes this game great...

I just got it today. The WW2 scenario and weaponry was starting to get boring. This game is awsome! Not exactly what I would call "realistic" (well, not at all acutally), but still very good. I'm looking forward to the MP after I beat the SP campaign.

What's your training record? :D Mine's 15.1 (with +something for accuracy)

What's the 1911 you carry sometimes? Looks like a Kimber (Desert) Warrior...

When I got COD:UO I played SP for 10 minutes to learn the keys and guns then went to MP and never looked back.

I still play UO every nite. Next week starts COD4 for me.
COD 2 was too much run and gun with small maps and no real tactics.

I like big maps and capture the flag.

What really makes MP is the team play with Ventrillo to have live voice comms with team mates.

I just upgraded my gaming PC so my kids could play Oblivion, and hope my son buys COD4 with the gift card I gave him for his birthday. I still play COD2 about everyday and would play 4 all winter. Mike

Another realistic first-person shooting game,is Black.I was so impressed with the close-quarter fighting and the bullet-holes and ricochets.I've yet to play Call Of Duty 4 and I shall look foward to it,soon-as I'm a big fan of these and especially WW2 ones.:):)

I played the demo, and the BG's are using HK G3's, which didn't make any sense to me. Are the Paki's and/or Iraqi's totin around said guns in real life? From what I understand, the G3 was first built back in the 50's, maybe the BG's are using old ones. hehe. The game is good in any case. Under the hardest setting, the game is hell. Or, maybe I just stink. Either way, good fun.
